STIGMA is a mental health application designed to foster open discussions about mental health by providing a safe platform for individuals to share their experiences with often-misunderstood conditions. Through viewing STIGMA Stories, users can connect with others who share similar life experiences, reassuring them that they are not alone. Alternatively, users can exchange messages of hope through video, audio, or text format.
There are three key features that facilitate connection among app users:
- STIGMA Stories: By listening to personal accounts, empathy towards diverse experiences is nurtured. Within the STIGMA Stories feed, users can filter stories based on specific conditions or experiences of interest.
- Ask for Hope: Recognizing that everyone has good and challenging days, users can record their feelings and specify recipients within the STIGMA community for support. Notifications inform users when messages of hope are received.
- Offer someone Hope: Engaging in acts of kindness not only benefits others but also enhances one's own mental and physical well-being. The app allows users to view a list of individuals in need of support on the dashboard and extend a caring message.
STIGMA advocates for the normalization of dialogues surrounding mental health, believing that openness is essential in this process. Will you be part of our initiative?
